Live-in caregivers win labor rights fight in Washington Supreme Court
Because six workers came together, employers can no longer withhold the important health and safety protections provided by the Minimum Wage Act from live-in caregivers working in adult family homes.
Orchard workers win against discrimination, and get $200,000 for their trouble
A group of workers at a mega farm in Yakima joined together to fight back against an employer discriminating against them and others. The company agreed to mediation rather than going to court, and the workers won new procedures for reporting complaints, and more.
Making Seattle’s domestic worker protections real
When an employer in Seattle tried to cheat a nanny out of the severance pay she was owed, we helped her bring her case to small claims court in King County and her nanny won a judgement for more than $2,500. (Rosalba Camino v Sophie Mudarri)

Legal advocacy updates
Today, the Washington Supreme Court announced a ruling granting the right to fair pay and safe workplaces to tens of thousands of the mostly-immigrant care workers who protect and care for our elderly and disabled loved ones.
