I work as a speech pathologist, and I see kids on a regular basis who attend school when they are sick and they should be resting at home.
I suspect some families don't have family leave. This only creates more sick kids and further impacts school attendance. All parents should have family leave time to care for their family.
Paid family leave is the humane thing to do. Everyone needs care and support and certain times in life! It's part of being human!
