Washington workers are winning the fight for stronger workplace protections.
We’re winning in partnership with policymakers committed to building an economy that puts workers first, and right now it’s election season – prime time to hold future electeds accountable to our priorities and continuing the work. By endorsing candidates, we can push them to support our priorities before they take office and make sure they’re ready to fight with us once they win.
This year, an endorsement board of restaurant workers, domestic workers, and gig workers – all of whom are active leaders in campaigns to organize their industries with their coworkers – came together to pick the candidates who will most effectively and reliably fight alongside us.
Now, we’re excited to announce the first round of endorsements from the 2023 Worker Endorsement Board!
In Seattle City Council District 2, we’re proud to endorse Councilmember Tammy Morales for her re-election campaign.
And for King County Council, we’re proud to endorse Jorge Barón (District 4) and Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda (District 8).
Each of these candidates showed a strong commitment to fighting for new rights, advancing racial and economic justice, and following our lead on the issues that affect our lives.
We’re in their corner because we know they’re in ours.
