Pablo Gonzalez is the best choice for Yakima voters in District 2.
Gonzalez has himself worked difficult jobs for low wages, including at a fruit packaging warehouse, so he understands from personal experience about some of the issues many Yakima workers face.
Gonzalez has deep roots in the community, including involvement with local radio and community engagement center KDNA for many years. However, as a candidate for city council, he sees more sharply focused on crime than on good jobs or living wages.
Gonzalez’s opponent, Jason White, did not respond to our request to participate in our endorsement process. White is an urban farmer who has shared little information on his resume & experience, or his position on core issues that would affect workers. White also did not respond to our requests to participate in our endorsement process, so we did have the opportunity to learn more about his positions and background, and do not have a job application to submit for ratings.
