Happy Pride from WOrking washington & fair work center!

Who We Are:

We’re workers! We’ve united across industries to improve our working conditions and our lives. We build power through education, organizing, & enforcement.

What’s Happening:

Restaurant/Service industry workers are meeting up on July 8th for an industry social event at Vermillion! Pick up some resources about your rights in the workplace, hear from workers organizing for change, enjoy fresh beats provided by DJ UNKLEJESSICA, and sing your heart out at karaoke with KJ Tony James! We’ll have free drink tickets at the entrance for industry workers. RSVP here and bring a friend!

Gig workers are continuing the fight to keep our minimum wage in Seattle. TLDR: DoorDash and Uber hate having to pay us a real minimum wage and are trying to repeal the law! Join a meeting and fight back here!

Nannies and domestic workers are building up momentum as we take our historic Seattle bill of rights statewide in 2025! Check out the Nanny Collective or pop in at the upcoming Domestic Workers Ordinance 5 Year Anniversary Celebration on July 1st!

STAY TUNED: Need some help with a small claims court issue? Our Fair Work Center legal team will be hosting a clinic on August 6th to walk you through the process. Come learn and ask questions of our rad lawyers who fight for workers every day. We’ll be launching more information soon, so keep an eye on our social channels!

For more information on your rights at work, check out our 2024 Know Your Rights Booklet (in English or Spanish) or poke around Working Washington & Fair Work Center’s websites. Have a question that isn’t covered or need help with something specific? Email us at help@fairworkcenter.org.

There’s always more in the works! Follow us on social media and keep up with what workers in Washington are doing to make our economy more fair for everyone.
